Complementary Compliments: new posters by Allison Chapman

Posters are $50 each. I printed about 10 of each phrase

This collection of 11×17 posters explores complementary colors. Allison inked two colors on the press at one time allowing the colors to mix in the middle. The paper is run through the press twice to create background gradients.

“I collected compliments over several months. I asked folks for a compliment that they like to share with other people. I also asked for a meaningful compliment that had been shared with them.”

“Collecting compliments was a great way to shift my thinking and look for ways to connect with other people. I hope that by sharing these compliments I will encourage someone else. I hope that viewers will feel the love and kindness represented in these posters.”
